Dividing Wall Requirement

As a Commercial business our client was looking to sub-let part of their main office on a medium term basis.  As the sub-let was a medium term requirement, the dividing wall could not be permanent and needed to be flexible. This led to the requirement for a stud wall; with partitioning and a large fold back doors.

We therefore implemented a studwork frame, we built a dividing wall with space to install a set of oak folding doors. The partition frame was then boarded, skimmed and painted to blend with the existing walls. To add an air of permanence to the dividing wall, we added skirting boards on both sides. The oak doors were ordered and installed to spec and oiled. To enable privacy between the two office areas we applied a frosted film to the glass on each of the doors.

In addition to the above, due to where the dividing wall was situated, we needed to move a number of lighting fixtures and install new switches.

The work took 4 days to complete with minimum disruption to the working environment around the build.
